Months ago, Encyclomedia's team developed the web-site of Mi Oracion Predilecta (My Favourite Prayer). You can visit it at: http://www.mioracionpredilecta.org Now, we have also translated and included subtitles for a clip from a TV shown in which, the founders of this initiative speak about the beginning of this great story!
“Once I took a taxi in Mexico City, I noticed that the driver had what you could call a moving chapel in his car.Of course, there couldn’t miss many rosaries hanging from the mirror. My parents, since I was a child, taught me to pray the Rosary every day. That day when I took the taxi I was not carrying with me the Rosary beads, so asked the driver to lend me one of those hanging from his mirror. The man, a little surprised, agreed to it and gave me one.Just when I was about to begin praying it, I asked him if he wanted to accompany me.Even more surprised, he said yes and we began praying it together.A little before reaching my destination, we finished praying the Rosary and the driver, quite moved, began crying.I asked him why, and he told me that the Virgin Mary had listened to him: she had solved a personal problem which he had while we were praying the Rosary. How many hours do you spend daily in your car?I asked. He said that he spends 10 to 12 hours daily, therefore I suggested to him to pray it every day as it only takes him 20 minutes, and surely, each day he would be able to find a peaceful moment in the midst of the traffic. He answered he didn’t know how to pray it”
When I told this story to a good friend of mine, manufacturer of CDs, he decided to produce a guide of the Rosary on CD.This is how this initiative began and up to now it has helped more than 120,000 people to pray the Rosary, in Mexico and all around the world.
Mexico City, November 2008
We hope the initiative keeps on being very successful and that they are able to achieve their goals!
