 Word Reference (http://www.wordreference.com/) is a wonderful web-site for translations from English to Spanish and vice-versa, as well as other language pairs, of course.Besides having quite a good database for translations of words, what makes it outstanding and an essential part of my work as translator are the forums: the community around this web-site which is helping at the forums is very large, hence, you can get help from a very large pool of people who may be specialized in hundreds of different fields and from various nationalities. There are many instances in which you would like to ask other people for their opinion while translating: 1. A technical term in a field which, even if you know, you want to make sure that the term you are assigning is the most appropriate. 2. A sentence or phrase which may have a different meaning for different audiences. 3. A word which you find nowhere in dictionaries or other web-sites, either because is too technical, or too specific to some country or region. 4. When for the same sentence you have thought of several options but you can't decide which goes better for your translation.
